MEET OUR TEAM

Rebecca Maria Carlson

Proposed Lead IN Education and farm managemENt

Eco NeighboR, Proposed director

Integrated Awareness Method (IAM), Program Founder and presenter

Rebecca’s natural inclination is to be a designer and inspiring supporter of holistic systems. In her services and consulting, she loves engaging meta maps, archetypes, and patterns helpful for learning and understanding new levels of integrated living, such as creating breakthroughs, manifesting goals, and setting in motion positive habits for greater self awareness, healing, empowerment, contribution, and wholeness.

Her integrated studies and work include Permaculture Practices, Garden & Landscape Design, Website and Marketing Design, Human Design, Integral Theory, The Michael System, Heartlife Institute, Cultural Anthropology BA, Transpersonal Psychology MA pgm, Geology, Geomancy, Astronomy, and Astrology.

Rebecca is currently the founder and manager for a local organic landscape business offering design, installation, and garden care in Colorado. She holds a certification with PINA (permaculture institute of North America) and has created mindful community connections by volunteering over the years at various biodynamic farms and permaculture organizations in the Boulder area. She continues to expand her interests by sharing her passion for earth wisdom and holistic living through partnering with like minded groups and sustainable projects.

With over a decade of experience and application of Integral Theory, having studied closely with former partner Ken Wilber, she offers a uniquely balanced wisdom in her consulting for projects and teams, including assessment tools, insights, and practices that empower what’s working, that shed light on what’s overlooked, and that reflect on practical steps and inspiration to achieve our goals and find balance in all dimensions of the great holarchy of being.

To explore her evolving interest in esoteric subjects, she explores the wisdom of alternative perspectives and practices, searching for truthful connections hidden or obvious. As a natural empath and energy healer, she offers “avatar sessions” to empower and integrate our soul and personal identity, helping us realize ways to remove blocks, accept and love ourselves, and live into our fullest potential for expression through our talents and relationships.

Rebecca is so inspiring and effective! She is a skilled designer, a gifted intuitive, and a metaphysical artist. She helped me grow my new business and coached me successfully through the challenges. She’s experienced at highlighting what works and what doesn’t, for an individual or a group, and she recommended truly helpful practices. I’ve found her work to truly target what I needed, sometimes underneath the words. I’ve felt supported in achieving a balance of personal growth and ideal work performance because she was so present to my personal process as well as my creative goal.

SPIRITUAL COUNSELLOR, INTUITIVE, Permaculturist, Peace maker

Artist, Healer, MusiciaN, Storyteller

My path in life has been dedicated to seeking wholeness. In time, I have learned that the greatest place to gain that understanding exists in what I call the flowering of life. The circle, the seed, the bud of ever unfolding awareness, is part of the flowering language that life offers us. A constant stream of love is flowing to us all and we who are blessed by wisdom enough to take notice, to listen, and to hear it, receive its blessings.

My husband and I moved our family 12 years ago to Southern Oregon to become Organic Gardeners. We found a home with a half acre to work with and we began by building soil. With the help of a dear friend we made a huge pile of leaves, added grape tailings, and peanut shells, along with rock dust from a Canadian Druid. This mixture brought our soil to life. Our interest in permaculture and ‘the wild’ spoke to us from a deep place in our souls that made it part of our driving ambition to grow our own food.  Biodynamic preps provided by another friend in the community gave our garden even more boost. It took us three years to build up the soil of our dreams and we were ready.

My partner asked, “Now, how do you want to build our garden?” I replied, “With a circle, a heart in the middle, and seven paths.” My partner and I had been on a vision quest with a teacher who gave us the wheel of life: a wheel of sevens that was calling to be the center of our garden. Reflecting on that moment, we felt like something special was about to happen. So, we started there and off we went. Our garden grew food for over ten families, with enough to spare for local restaurants as well as the bounty that was ours to enjoy.  We planted a food forest and using the rock dust of dinosaurs from our friend in Canada we got to experience what food with minerals actually feels like in the body. If you’ve never had had a mineral rich strawberry, you’re in for a treat.

We also studied and learned what life in the flower world was all about in our backyard. Practicing permaculture using hugelkultur, and inoculating mushroom logs, creating a worm bin, raising chickens, and listening… Our garden classroom grew. While we planted seeds and watched them grow, my other love grew, as I practiced three-kingdom communication in an ever-expanding way in my healing room. Working with rocks, plants and animals, I found that in the healing room we had just what was needed to bring peace and balance back into our lives.

One day I had an amazing moment with a large tea rose that was growing along the side of the garage. Its flowers for several years had been scanty and light, until one day it caught my attention. I realized I had not really taken time to sit with it…and well, that I needed to. I sat with the rose bush and said to it, “You know if you would give me more roses, I can use them in helping people in the healing room.” Well that was it, that rose bush bloomed so much that it was sagging to the ground with blooms. I picked three rounds of flowers from it and it just gave and gave. I was smitten with that rose bush and it was one of the harder things to leave when it came time to move.

People began to call me for healing from around the world. Locally, a woman who owned horses called, saying “My horses are asking for you.” Others called saying, “My bird is sick and I was told to call you.” Or, “My dog is ill, can you pray for her?” A wild mother deer came to me and asked that I help to take care of one of her fawns during its passing, after it had eaten poison. One after another, both human and animal relationships blossomed all around me. And through it, I began to find my way through the maze of how to live in relationship to all life, not just one part, but the whole wheel of life.

In time, because of my Native American heritage, I became a tribal clan leader. I led over 11 vision quests to Mt. Shasta, working with local tribes and Elders who supported my journeys. For 27 years, I developed processes for integration and Inner child healing. I became a youth mentor, a storyteller, and worked as the Chief Storyteller and Ceremonial leader for Waldorf 4th graders for the state of Oregon for eight years. Through listening to my ancestors, As an intuitive guide, I reclaimed lost knowledge and learned to make my own power objects that grew my Medicine Bundle. Now, taking my own steps as a young Elder, it’s time to give back…to share what I have learned, and to pass on what I have gleaned. I am currently writing several books and hope to share them with you soon.

This past year, I helped to write and launch a non-profit housing program for women in transition. We did it in record time, wrote it in two months, and started it running at full steam within three to four months. Not bad for a new start up. When I was called to Colorado to help with family, we found two people to replace me and keep the program going. I walked away from that project with this wisdom: We need to re-learn how to be a village.

It’s time to CARE. Care is my latest program anacronym: Conscious, Articulate, Relationships, are Enough for Everyone. Practicing this, we can build a village.  We are at a time when we have to rebuild what has been torn down. It’s not working to live in such massive cities that still create separation from one another. We have to rebuild community at the level of our villages and remember what it means to CARE for one another and for all life.

It is my vision and dream to work with others to develop this into a practice that can be shared. Geo Flower is a perfect place to start to practice a whole-life approach to sustainable living and relationships that can show how the flowering language, when listened to, can help us heal and mend the broken-down structures of life together.
